announces auditions for

The Rosamond P. Haeberle Memorial Piano Award

          Place:  University Presbyterian Church,

1385 South Adams Road, Rochester Hills, MI 48309      

Eligibility: 

                   Applicants must be:

• Legal residents of U.S.A.;
• Enrolled at a degree-granting institution;
• Residents of the State of Michigan, OR  enrolled at a school in Michigan;

–     Pursuing a music degree with piano as major instrument.

                        Previous winners may not apply.

          Repertoire Requirements:

                   –  Applicants must prepare ONE COMPLETE MAJOR WORK from EACH of the following categories: Baroque, Classical, Romantic, Modern;

                        –  Repertoire selections must not include concerti;

                        –  Transcriptions must be by original composer;

                        –  Three copies of each selection, including the original score,                                                                 must be provided for the adjudication panel;

                        –  Photocopies may be used for adjudication reference only, and will be                                     destroyed following the auditions.

                        –  Electronically produced copies must have Proof of License.

          Audition Rules and Requirements:

–  Applicants must provide the following items: Completed Application Form;

Proof of Enrollment; Resume; Recommendation signed by the applicant’s Principal Teacher;

                        –  Applications will be reviewed by the Application Evaluation Committee;

                        –  A maximum of ten applicants will be chosen to perform;

                        –  Audition times will be assigned;

                        –  Applicants may choose the first selection to be performed;

                        –  The adjudication panel will choose any other selections – or portions of                                            selections – to be performed;

                        –  Maximum actual performance time shall be 30 minutes;

                        –  Auditions will be closed to the public;

                        –  The winner will be required to provide his/her Social Security Number,

                                    in accordance with IRS requirements.

Deadline:    Complete Application Package to be Mailed by USPS  –        Postmarked no later than February 25, 2025.
